Where language is not just grammar;
It’s access, power and belonging.
English, IELTS, University & Workplace Success taught beyond the textbook
Are you:
An international student worried about keeping up at university?
A parent concerned your child is struggling silently abroad?
A migrant navigating work, study, or life in Australia?
Have you ever…
Felt stuck at the same IELTS band, no matter how much you practise or revise?
Had strong ideas for presentations or assessments, but still received mediocre grades?
Followed all the rules for essays and assignments, yet received lower marks than expected?
Struggled in job interviews despite meeting every selection criterion?
Been qualified but not chosen?
Felt hesitant to set boundaries with coworkers, managers, or even teachers who overstep or intimidate, because you don’t know the right words or fear escalation?
Struggled to participate in tutorials, keep up with academic readings, or manage university workloads?
Felt overwhelmed, self-conscious, or intimidated in classes, meetings, or professional settings?
If so this is not your fault.
The truth no one explains
Every international student and migrant steps into an entirely new academic and workplace ecosystem in Australia. This system rewards and punishes based on unspoken rules. Rules that are very different from those in South Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, and many other parts of the world.
I have seen intelligent, bright, and capable students and professionals:
Not achieve the grades they deserve
Not progress at work despite competence
Be misunderstood, overlooked, or underestimated
Not because they lack intelligence.
But because they were never taught how language, confidence, and power operate in Australian academic and professional environments.
Many are still trying to operate using the rules of their home education or workplace systems and are left confused when they are not acknowledged or understood here.
Why Liminal Learning Studio exists
I created Liminal Learning Studio after more than a decade teaching across, Universities, Higher Education and Training Colleges, ESL, IELTS, PTE and EAP prep programs, High school and RTO settings. I watched too many students and migrants struggle quietly inside systems that did not support or integrate them and then blame themselves.
I knew there had to be a better way.
Here’s what I help you with
At Liminal Learning Studio, I help students and migrants:
Master IELTS with a clear strategy (no endless drilling)
Become university-ready (Master tutorial participation, academic presentations, essays, short-answer, and exam writing, academic voice and critical thinking)
Land dream jobs and communicate confidently at work (tailor resumes and cover letters to the Australian work context, master interviews and meetings, negotiating pay, boundaries, and expectations)
Speak clearly and confidently in Australian environments
Understand the unspoken rules so they are no longer penalised for them

How Liminal Learning Studio Is Different
Liminal Learning Studio is not built on generic ESL frameworks or test-prep formulas.
It is built on a teaching methodology I have refined over more than a decade and one I have seen work consistently, even with students who arrive withdrawn, homesick, socially anxious, or convinced they are “bad at English”.
I have watched students who barely spoke in week one:
Begin participating confidently in discussions
Speak without apologising for their accent
Reconnect with curiosity and self-trust
Feel calmer, safer, and more present in class and at work
In many cases, this shift begins within the first two weeks.
The Amna Method™
All programs at Liminal Learning Studio are delivered using The Amna Method™ a modern, experiential approach designed specifically for international students and migrants navigating unfamiliar academic and professional systems.
